CANUNDA HP: CW Fiber Laser Beam Shaping

The CANUNDA-HP module is a beam shaper designed to handle high-power. Its fully reflective design based on MPLC technology delivers an optimal intensity profile. Multiple shapes are possible (top-hat, ring, M-shape) with possibility to have a fast by-pass function to get back to the initial Gaussian beam. Laser Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF) is an additive manufacturing process. A high-power continuous-wave laser scans a specific path on a bed of metal powder, melting the metal as it passes. This allows parts to be printed in successive layers. Beam shaping improves the L-PBF process by reducing cracking during solidification and achieve a density over 99.9% without post-processing.
