    SS-X SERIES: A+AA+ Solar Simulator

    SS-X is a new series of comprehensive A+ spectrum grade solar simulators developed in accordance with IEC 60904-9:2020 standard. It features a Xe short-arc lamp with a 6000K color temperature, closely matching natural sunlight (5500K). Utilizing advanced optical simulation software and Fourier-optics technology, the SS-X produces spatially uniform irradiance. The AM1.5G filter, made with advanced Plasma Deposition technology, offers high spectral accuracy and durability, tripling service lifetime. This superior spectrum grade makes SS-X ideal for characterizing a variety of new solar cells, including low-bandgap organic and perovskite/Si tandem cells. SS-X provides stable and continuous irradiance, minimizing characterization errors especially for solar cells with slow response times. Combined with advanced software, SS-X series can further analyze the physics behind the IV curves, such as performing Sun-Voc and Sun-Jsc simultaneously for analyzing ideality factor n automatically.

    Overview

    • The SS-X Solar simulator uses a Xe short-arc lamp as the broadband light source. The Xe lamp has a 6000K color temperature, which is closest to natural sunlight (5500K).
    • All SS-X series solar simulators not only utilize optical simulation software for the optical and mechanical system design, but also adopt Fourier-optics technology to generate spatially uniform irradiance. T

    • The AM1.5G filter of the SS-X solar light simulator, made with advanced Plasma Deposition technology, has high spectral accuracy and excellent durability, tripling the service lifetime.
    • The superior spectrum grade makes the SS-X more suitable than other simulators for characterizing a wide variety of new solar cells, such as low-bandgap organic solar cells and perovskite/Si tandem solar cells.

    The SS-X adopts a medical-device-level power supply system, which provides smaller electrical ripples. The improved electrical current output allows the irradiance temporal instability of the SS-X solar light simulator to achieve a superior A+ grade.
    SS-IRIS Auto Light Intensity Control:
    Enlitech’s exclusive patented technology, allowing automatic adjustment of irradiance intensity from 0.01 sun to 1 sun (1 mW/cm² to 100 mW/cm²) with 1% accuracy, without altering the spectrum of the irradiance.
    IVS-KA6000 Comprehensive Testing Software-The Key Tool for Efficiency Optimization of Perovskite and Organic Solar Cells:
    Enlitech’s IVS-KA6000 and KA7000 software are designed for advanced solar cell research, providing I-V measurement and analysis including forward/reverse IV scanning, multi-channel testing, and NREL asymptotic detection—crucial for accurate perovskite cell measurements. With precise light timing control, adjustable intensity levels, and IEC-compliant corrections, the software enhances data reliability. Powerful statistics and visualization tools support high-efficiency solar cell development, making it widely adopted by leading laboratories.
    Multiple Beam Directions:
    Offers configurable beam output directions including downward (standard), Upward
    (suitable for integration with a glove box), and sideways configurations to the right and left, which are generally used to illuminate water-splitting cells.
    Integrated Optical Shutter:
    In SS-X series sun simulators are integrated with a single-blade mechanical shutter. It can be controlled by the Xe Power Supply manually or automatically, and switch status from Open to Off within 199ms
